Arrels Fundació
No one should have to make the street their home. Arrels Fundació supports people experiencing homelessness in Barcelona, offering practical help and the time to build a relationship of trust.
A SHARED PURPOSE
Everyone deserves
someone who stays.
Leaving the street behind can take time. It starts with listening, getting to know someone and respecting their pace. Arrels approaches each person as an individual, with their own experiences, wishes and decisions to make.
Street outreach, day centre services and access to housing are all part of that support. Alongside its daily work, Arrels challenges prejudice and defends the right to a home, asking Barcelona to face a reality that is too often overlooked.

Having somewhere safe to sleep matters. So does having someone to talk to, a place to look after yourself and a reason to feel part of the community. Arrels works with people across these different needs.

Reaching out
The street team visits people where they are. Returning, listening and keeping in touch allow trust to grow, without expecting someone to tell their whole story at once.

Everyday support
The day centre offers practical support and a place to connect with others. Everyday care can make a difference when someone has been living without a safe place of their own.

A place to call home
A home offers privacy, safety and somewhere to rest. Continued support helps people settle in and make decisions about their lives with greater independence.
